Vegetarian Easter Dinner (Gardein Turk'y)

For the past years my family has been making a large turkey, stuffing, and the hole 5 course meal for dinners like these. As I don't eat meat and I am not with my family I decided to make my roommates and boyfriend a vegetarian Easter Dinner.

This meal included Turkey Cutlets, Stuffed Turkey, Carrots, Potatoes and Broccoli! Below is everything I used, how I made it, and how it tasted.

Gardein Turk'y Cutlets: Absolutely amazing! I'm always looking for veggie meat that taste similar to real meat. This one was so similar and to me, tasted better then the real thing. Turkey friendly, and no turkey hangover. To cook those I threw them in the oven for 12 minutes. It also comes with a vegetarian gravy to go with it.

Gardein Stuffed Turk'y: These stuffed turk'y tasted amazing as well! The 'turkey' part tasted pretty similar to the cutlets, while the stuffing had nice flavor. It doesn't taste like real stuffing but it did taste pretty good. To cook these I threw them in the oven for about 12 minutes, then added the cutlets to cook with these as they require about 25 minutes in total to cook.

Potatoes: For my potatoes I just used Organic Russet Potatoes. Cut them, boiled them until soft then mashed them. Once mashed I added Milk (I had to use my roommates, but I would usually use Almond Plain Milk.. NOT VANILLA) and butter. It made a pretty basic mash potatoes but tasted amazing with the 'turkey' gravy.

Carrots: Brown Sugar coated Carrots! Extremely tasty and one of the favorite parts of the meal. I sadly did not make enough for left overs but they are super easy to make for ANY meal.
✾1 CUP of water
✾ 1/2 - 1 CUP of Brown Sugar
✾Pinch of Salt
✾ Pinch of Pepper
✾2 TSP Butter
✾ 7 Carrots
Add all these ingredients in a sauce pan, cook on medium - high, add a lid and mix every little bit. I like to leave it to boil up a few times as I find it helps make the mixture more sticky and sauce like. Once the carrots looked cook and it's sticky I put them in a bowl with a lid to sit until dinner.

Broccoli: Broccoli with Cheese Sauce!!! To make this I steamed the broccoli in a pot until soft then added to a oven safe pan.
Cheese Sauce: As I didn't have time to make home made sauce I used Club house Cheese Sauce Mix. I followed the instructions on the back, added extra cheese.
To complete this I threw the sauce on top, put in the oven for 5-10 mins. This made a tasty broccoli cheese dish that everyone liked!

Overall this dinner is super easy and only takes about an hour to make everything. This meal would be great for Christmas, Easter, or any holidays you celebrate which would normally involve turkey. I also will buy the cutlets for every day meals as they were super tasty and very meat like.

Thanks you reading about my Vegetarian Easter Dinner! I hope you find something you are interested in trying! (:
