So I have two big reasons so why I want too do this post. First I got asked by this awesome beauty blogger Annie at BunnyFreeBlogger if we should do a collabe! I have honestly never done one before so that sounded pretty cool to me! The second reason that I did not even think about, until I was asked to do a collabe was that for the longest time when I started first wearing makeup I was horrible at washing it off, cleaning, and cleansing; I sometimes still am. It was until I really started to get into cruelty makeup and other beauty bloggers that I started actually taking care of my skin, and really caring about my routine.
About a month ago I just s tarted more activity doing my morning skin care routine. I started washing, using a toner, and moisturizing daily.
To start off I use The Soap Works cruelty free soap. They are a cruelty free, vegan, not containing sodium laurel, lauryl or laureth sulphate and are phosphate free brand. I have tried the Aloe Vera and Oatmeal soap bars which smell amazing, and are super gentle on the skin. I use the soap every morning and it always leave my face feelings clean and soft. I cannot wait to try the different types of soap The Soap Works offer.
Secondly I use The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner. The toner is made by the body shop, a brand this remands it status as cruelty free, but is owned and parents with a company that is not. By being owned by Loeral (I think it is Loeral, sorry if i'm wrong) it does take away a lot of shoppers due to not all the money that is paid at The Body Shop goes towards Loeral and possibly animal testing. I personally do not plan on shopping from The Body Shop very often, or at all in the future but do hope one day Loeral will stop testing so I can. The toner works great though; which is the sad part. It smells decent, almost like tea tree (probably, aha) and gives the face a nice, cleaning feeling once on the face.
Lastly after I wash and use toner on my face I use Arbonne FC5 Nurturing Daily Lotion. This lotion is vegan and gluten free. It is very natural and very absorbent on the face. It smells amazing, like natural like. It does not give that fake, vaseline smell like I find a lot of moisturizers do. I only use a dine size or small dot on my hand and dot it on my face. I than rub it all in and let it dry. It feels great on the skin, and does not leave you with the wet, slimy feeling like some moisturizers do also!
I overall do love my skin care routine and do not plan on changing it much anytime soon. I do plan on though buying a different brand of toner (a spray on barbecue makeup pads can damage skin) and because The Body Shop is not 100% cruelty free. The only thing I do hope on changing is to start doing a nightly skin care routine, because I often forget to take care of my skin at night. I find I am often lazy and do not want to do anythings.
If you ARE looking for a nightly skin care routine go check out Annie at BunnyFreeBlogger for her night skin care routine! If you aren't, well I think it would be so awesome to go anyways because she has an awesome blog; like it's so actually pretty and it's just like an awesome cruelty free beauty blog.
Thank you for reading and I hope you can consider some of the items I use for your daily routine! Any advice on products I should add to my skin care routine?
